Contribution Guidelines
Welcome, archivists, lorekeepers, and mechanics-minded wizards!
Whether you're fixing a typo, refining a rule explanation, or adding hard-earned FOIP discoveries, your contributions help keep Volaire rich, immersive, and player-accessible.
🛠️ How to Contribute
All submissions must go through one of the following channels:
- 📨 Submit a Support Ticket for suggested edits or new content:
- 🗝️ Request Live Editing Access by contacting Eric if you're a trusted contributor or staff member.
*No coding experience required—just clarity, consistency, and a little respect for canon.*
📏 Contribution Guidelines
To keep the Wiki consistent and helpful, all live edits must follow these rules:
- This Wiki is Out-of-Play (OOP) unless a page is specifically marked as In-Play (IP). Write in clear, neutral language for real-world reference.
- Stay Canon-Faithful – Do not invent lore or mechanics. Expand only with staff approval or official FOIP reveals.
- Use a Reference Tone – Think handbook or rule summary, not storytelling prose or personal voice.
- Avoid Power Creep – Don’t suggest mechanics, races, or abilities outside approved balance processes.
- No Religion – Volaire is a godless setting. Avoid religious terminology, cosmology, or divine references.
- Follow Formatting Standards – Use correct DokuWiki syntax (italics, bold, etc.) and the namespace: `operations:public:*`
- Proofread Before Submitting – Clean grammar and formatting are required. Sloppy edits will be reverted.
- Cite Your Sources – When referencing rules or lore, include the relevant Rulebook section or approved ticket #.
